Music education is equally important in our schools. With the help of music student can lead to better brain development also it helps in motivating the students to master and enjoy the intricacies of music
International yoga day is celebrated in the school with full spirit and enthusiasm on 21st June. Students delivered speeches on the importance of yoga and they also performed Yogasanas and Pranayamas in the school premises. P.T. teacher also encouraged the students to practice regular Yoga.
We Perform school based health activities to establish a lifelong healthy behaviours, emotional well-being and good mental health in students .
We are extremely proud to share that CES Dr. Cyrus Poonawalla English Medium School's 30 NCC students voluntered for 12 hours during the elections at 7 different polling stations. Being inspried from our motto "Service and Sacrifice" our students helped the elderly people with wheel chairs and guided them to the respective booths. Also as a pre-election awareness campaign, the school had arranged a rally through which the students encouraged people to vote for the nation.
Under our "Go Green" mission, a "Recycle & Reuse for nature" competition was conducted were our college students made planters from various waste containers. These planters are kept in there classroom where students will take care of the plants daily which will inculcate a sense of responsibility in them and encourage them to save our natural environment.
11th std students had visited to St. John's old age home to donate them various food items.
Drawing competition related to voting was conducted in the school for Std. VIII, to create an awareness among the students about voting.
PTA meeting was conducted on 28th feb. The agenda for the meeting was regarding timings, activities, revising fees. Discussion regarding change of school uniform for the upcoming year 2025-26 was held in front of PTA members.
Parents those who have any talent hidden in them were informed to inculcate those talent among our students.
Parents were satisfied and also gave suggestion regarding betterment of school.
Poem recitation of the famous poet Kusumagraj was performed by students, riddles, puzzles were taken and videos on importance of Marathi language and history of Marathi language was shown on the occasion of Marathi Rajbhasha Divas.
On 14thFeb 2024 the school had organized an activity based on plastic free school. Students learn to use reusable water bottles and lunch bags. Tips for reducing plastic consumption was shared with the students such as avoid single use of plastic such as drinking straws. If you go for shopping remember to take a cloth bag to buy fresh fruits and vegetables and avoid packaged products.
On 24th January PPT making competition was held in the school in which students had prepared PPT and explained about it. Through this activity our students learnt how to make PowerPoint Presentation. On the topics such as,
On 23rd January 2023 our Student performed the activity of vermi composting through this activity students understood how to prepare manure by using earthworms.
On 15th January 2024 the concept of ministry formation was taught to students by first explaining them about what is democracy and the few students enacted as President, Prime minister, Defence minister, Education minister and Sports minister and explained their roles accordingly.
Vegetable plantation activity was conducted by students and through this activity they learnt about the life cycle of trees, the importance of biodiversity and interdependence of ecosystem. Students learnt how to grow seedlings indoors and then show them how to transplant thoseseedlings into the ground. Seeds of tomato, chilies were planted in the ground.
The Vedantu Scholarship exam was held on 6th January 2024. The exam was conducted on logical reasoning, Math & Science.
NCC which was organized by the NCC Trakking Camp, Gujrat. Out of 500 cadets, three cadets from our school were selected for the camp and were felicitated with a photo and certificate. Students shared their experiences and also sang the NCC song
On 13th December medical checkup campaign was held in school for teaching and non-teaching staff. Few doctors from Tarachand Hospital were invited to do the regular checkup such as weight, BP, sugar etc.
On 1st Dec 2023, a team from Bansal Classes organized a test series based on the SSC syllabus. Students participated in the exam.
PTA Meeting was conducted on November 30th2023. The agenda for the meeting was regarding timings, the school's uniform code, activities,competitions, revising fees, NCC & RSP, Abacus, Vedic Math, Mahila Takrar Samiti, and updating Adhar Cards. Parents were satisfied and also gave few suggestions regarding betterment of the school.
On 22nd November School had conducted an activity to visit the bank where the students visited Canara Bank to understand the actual functioning of the bank. Information related to banking and economics was given to the students.
Spell Master of India, presented by SBI Life. Spell bee team had come to school to conduct a competition among all 8th and 9th Std. students. The students were very enthusiastic about participating in the spelling competition.
The main theme of the competition was as” Wishing upon a Shooting Star." Here,students would jot down three special wishes, each representing something they need or want to work on as a goal, and present this they have to choose their preferred form of expression: write, draw, sketch, or point your wishes.
Through this competition, students were asked to spell a broad section of words, usually with varying degrees of difficulty. A spell bee is a competition in which children try to spell words correctly. Test of spelling was conducted on an OMR sheet. Winner of the competition was- Juzer Nazmi, Std. IX B
A team from Classmate conducted a competition based on Science, Math, GK, and Current Affairs. Students participated, and a few were selected as toppers.

School organized a Rakhi making and sandwich making activity. Students displayed their talents and made various colorful Rakhis and yummy sandwiches that exhibit their originality and creative little minds. It helps students to explore their creative minds and bring out hidden potential in them.
Planting a tree is planting hope. A very auspicious tree plantation program was organized in the school on 3rd September 2023 to create awareness regarding climate change and its adverse effects on us.
Healthy mind breeds a healthy body. Dr. Cyrus Poonawalla English Medium School encourages students to embrace physical fitness. It also emphasizes the importance of regular exercise and a healthy lifestyle. The National Sports Day was celebrated on 29th August 2023.An inspirational video on Major Dhyanchand was shown, and an informative session on physical fitness and healthy life was conducted.
“Meri Mati Mera Desh” is not a mere programme, it is a movement to immortalize the contribution of unsung heroes of the freedom struggle. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a new vision to remember the freedom fighters through this programme. On 11thAugust 2023 a fellow student Tanishq Shelke of Savitribai Phule University, Department of technology visited our school and gave information related to “Meri Mati Mera Desh”.
After the launch of Chandrayan I & II, India Launched Chandrayan III. Information regarding the mission was given to the students by showing video clips and discussing the information through speech.
The discussion was about launch, time, specialty, place etc.
Chandrayan III was launched on 14th July 2023 at 2:30 PM by ISRO from Sriharikota.
It will be a proud moment for India when Chandrayan III will complete it’s journey on 28th August 2023.
Guru Pornima was celebrated with great enthusiasm with beginning of ‘Sarasvati Poojan’. Students delivered speeches and recited poem on importance of Gurupornima . Respected Principal madam and all the teachers were felicitated by the students.
Investiture ceremony was conducted on 11th Aug 2023 for Head Boy, Head Girl, Prefects & Captains for the academic year 2023-24.The principal of our school felicitated our students with the batches. All the Head Boy, Head Girl, Prefects & Captains take oath on how they will fulfil the responsibility given to them. The principal of school also motivated the students to follow the instruction of Head Boy & Head Girl.
Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak death anniversary was celebrated on 1st August 2023. Students were shown video clips based on the life journey of Lokmanya Tilak. Students also gave speeches on the role played our by Lokmanya Tilak for our country.
