To emphasize this day we celebrated by conducting various competitions like Letter writing competition, handwriting competition and story telling competition.
The intention was to remind student that the ability to read and write should not be taken for granted. Being literated is the utmost important aspect of our life.
On 1st August being lokmanya tilak's death anniversary the students share his freedom struggle through speech and a documentary flim was shown based on his life.
Yoga Day was celebrated on 21 June 2024, by students with the help of the yoga teacher. Different asanas were performed by students by giving and explaining the importance of each asanas. PPT was shown by yoga teacher to students by scientifically explaining the reason for celebrating the importance of “21stJune as International Yoga Day” and regular importance of yoga in our day to day life.
School had organised the event base on greenery every where. In this each student had come forward and planted a sapling of their choice in school ground.
A session on importance of Safe Environment was conducted by the students, which was presented through ppt to everyone in cultural hall. Awareness of safe environment was incultivated in students by giving live examples like Reuse – Reduce – Recycle of waste products like plastics etc.
On 30th March 2024 a round table discussion was held at SM Joshi Hall by Parisar Organization on the topic of "Cycle for school ". Many points were discussed related to Cycle Bus , advantages of cycling to school, Drawbacks of it and safety measures related to it. One of Our teacher attended the session for the same as we received the invitation from Pune Climate change warriors.
On the 19th of January 2024, Friday, a team from Bansal Classes organized a road safety rally. The chief guest was Commissioner of Mumbai Police, Mr.Sanjiv Bhor, and Mr.Anant Bhosale.They gave information about safety rules to be followed on the road while driving.
A session for Std.VIII was organized by a team of “Feel Alive”. Students were shown videos based on various species, bird, animals, different types of trees, and bushes.
A team from the Sajan Shah foundation had organised a session to motivate our students in concentration, focus, vision, easy remembering, confidence, and a positive attitude. The session was conducted for STD: VIII, IX, and X. A plant able pencil was distributed among the students.

The students of STD: VIII, IX, and X participated in the Math & Science Olympiad exam on December 4th and 5th2023. It built competitive skills among the students and created awareness and enthusiasm to participate in competitive exams.
The students of Std.X had participated in the Math Olympiad Exam. Among them, 5 students received Bronze medals, and the remaining passed with first class.

With an aim to promote creative, innovative, and technical skills, also to create awareness among youth regarding modern techniques, Techfest from IIT Bombay conducted an exam for STD: VIII, IX, and X on December 4th,2023. It motivated students to study and learn new technologies in science.
LPF meet was arranged on 25th October 2023 for STD: VIII, IX & X. The meet was regarding “Interactive Session." Students performed dances, poems, and speeches. Mr. Firoz Poonawalla interacted with the Lila juniors.
A team from Damini Pathak interacted with parents regarding the behavior of their children. They made our parents aware about changes in the adolescent age and their behavior. Changes taking place in and around society. They also discussed about the home atmosphere to be taken care of. They should not allow their kids to use mobile phones. The proper use of language should be spoken in front of their children.
A cleanliness drive was conducted by all the secondary students along with teachers. Great enthusiasm was seen in the students to clean their own classrooms, cupboards, fans, and blackboards. Through this drive, students have learned to be Aatmanirbhar and to keep their surroundings clean.
To inculcate the immense value of our rivers and raise public awareness about their significance “The world rivers day” was held at school. A PPT presentation was shown, and students delivered the speech also made posters highlighting the problems faced by the rivers due to human activities.
Theme- Punaravartan- Cyclical chain in nature
On 22nd September 2023, a Punaravartan team along with Pune climate change warriors team visited our school. Through dance, the idea of the cyclical process in nature around us will be made available. Also, collection of mud after dissolving it to protect Pune’s ecosystem was highlighted.
Healthy mind breeds a healthy body. Dr. Cyrus Poonawalla English Medium School encourages students to embrace physical fitness. It also emphasizes the importance of regular exercise and a healthy lifestyle. The National Sports Day was celebrated on 29th August 2023.An inspirational video on Major Dhyanchand was shown, and an informative session on physical fitness and healthy life was conducted.
Every month activities related to a specific colour are conducted. At the end of the month children are asked to come dressed in that specific colour and bring an object of that colour. We celebrated blue, pink and yellow months.
Sports day is meant to create awareness on the importance of sports, fitness and health. It helps the children to boost their self-esteem and helps them to be mentally and physically strong. Our tiny tots performed a drill on Annual Sports Day which was appreciated by the parents and committee members. Different races were conducted and the Tiny Tots were given medals. <

Farewell party wasorganized for students of std.10thon 10th February 2024 features games activities arranged for the students.
The 75th Republic Day was celebrated with great honor and enthusiasm. Students gave speeches, performed drills, recited songs, performed dances, March past and demonstrated karate skills.
Christmas day is celebrated every year. Children are asked to dressed colourfully. Santa Claus comes and children are very happy to see the Santa Claus. Different activities related to Christmas were conducted.
Diwali the festival of lights that enlightens the hearts and brings joy to every heart was celebrated with great excitement. Children were taught the importance of sharing by celebrating it as Sharing Day.
On 16th September 2023, World Ozone Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm. Students gave speeches regarding the importance of Ozone day and its protection. Students recited poems on ‘Ozone.' A skit cum dance performance was performed by the students through which they expressed their thoughts about the destruction of Ozone, protection of Ozone, and the importance of Ozone.
On the occasion of International Day of Democracy, a 15th September 2023 teacher explained the meaning of Democracy, Significance of democracy. The students in Std. VIII, IX, and X. were encouraged to collect slogans depicting the theme of democracy to prepare attractive posters and collect more information about International Day of Democracy. They also gave speeches.
On the occasion of Hindi Divas, students of Std. VIII, IX, and X performed a skit based on the importance of Hindi Divas. Students of Std. IX performed a dance with enthusiasm. Students of Std. VIII and IX also performed songs and speeches. Quiz session took place for the students. Questions were asked in the form of quiz to which the students participation were excited to answer.
Every year, this auspicious day is celebrated by students in the name of the great Dr. Radhakrishnan Sarvapalli. Secondary students were very energetic and happy to give their performance in different ways. Some had performed dances and speeches for their Gurus. Teachers were very happy to see their students in different roles. Thanks to each and every student.
Rakshabandhan or rakhi is a special occasion to celebrate the virtuous bond of love between a brother and a sister. Our girls tied rakhis to the boys.
To seek the blessings of Lord Krishna our Tiny Tots celebrated Janmashtami with mirth and joy. Our Tiny Tots were dressed as Lord Krishna and Radha and were looking very beautiful.
Children’s day is celebrated every year with our Tiny Tots with great enthusiasm. All our children were dressed colourfully. A Puppet Show is organised by the teachers which the children like very much. Games are also conducted such as Passing the Parcel and prizes are given to the winners of the games.
